May & June 2024 Events
Four Week Wheel Throwing Course: June
In this four-week course, students will learn how to create functional clay vessels on the pottery wheel as well as trimming, applying decoration and glazing techniques. Each session is two hours long and will occur on four consecutive Thursdays including June 6, 13, 20 and 27. from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Class is limited to six participants. Ages 15 and up. All clay and supplies are included.
Single Day Wheel Throwing Classes: May
In this two-hour class, students will learn the basics of throwing vessels from clay on the pottery wheel. On average each student will make 2-4 pieces. The studio staff will fire and glaze the pieces to be picked up by student at a later date. Class is limited to six participants. Ages 15 and up. All clay and supplies are included. These classes occur 6pm-8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 11am-1pm on Saturdays.
Kid’s Two-Day Pottery Workshop: June 4th &11th
In this two-day class, the kids will learn how to create functional clay plates as well as applying decoration and glazing techniques. The first day students will create their pieces and the second day they will paint/glaze. Their pieces will be ready to pick up one week later. Each session is two hours long and will occur on two consecutive Tuesdays including June 4th and 11th from 1:00PM-3:00PM. Class is limited to twelve participants. Ages 5 and up. All clay and supplies are included.
Kid’s Two-Day Pottery Workshop: June 5th &12th
In this two-day class, the kids will learn how to create hanging wall tiles from clay as well as applying decoration and glazing techniques. The first day students will create their pieces and the second day they will paint/glaze. Their pieces will be ready to pick up one week later. Each session is two hours long and will occur on two consecutive Wednesdays including June 5th and 12th from 1:00PM-3:00PM. Class is limited to twelve participants. Ages 5 and up. All clay and supplies are included
Berry Patch Bowl Workshop: May 4th, 11th & 18th
In this three-week workshop, students will learn how to create a berry bowl colander and plate on the pottery wheel with our instructor Rachel Schnadelbach! Each Session is two hours long and will occur on three consecutive Saturdays including May 4th, 11th and 18th 2:00-4:00 PM. Class is limited to seven participants. Ages 12 and up. All clay and supplies are included.
